GasBuddy receives TAG certification against ad fraud

GasBuddy today announced it has received the TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal from the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG). TAG seal recognizes GasBuddy for setting standards to combat ad fraud and increase transparency for its advertising partners.

“We are proud to be acknowledged for our efforts to eliminate ad fraud in our brand-safe campaigns on our website and mobile app,” said Jordan Grossman, EVP of advertising sales at GasBuddy. “TAG’s certification reinforces our commitment to promote accountability and prioritize safety on our robust publisher platform connecting 12 million monthly users with timely and relevant offers.”

GasBuddy is a smartphone app that helps consumers avoid paying full price for fuel. GasBuddy’s advertisers engage with an addressable audience of fuel and convenience retail shoppers in the United States. The company uses GPS-based first-party data to connect with drivers in proximity to specific businesses and retailers, measuring real-world footfall analysis and uplift to locations as a result of individual campaigns.

“By achieving the TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal, GasBuddy is providing assurance for buyers that they’re doing business with a company committed to adopting the advertising industry’s most rigorous anti-fraud standards,” said Rachel Nyswander Thomas, Chief Operating Officer at the Trustworthy Accountability Group. “We are pleased to recognize GasBuddy for its high standards and for the steps it has taken to earn the TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal.”
