Google project prepares the introduction of a native ad blocker in Chrome

Google is about to introduce a native ad blocker in Chrome to block heavy ads. 9to5google found out that the Chrome native ad blocker will unload ads that consume too many computational resources.

  • 1% of bandwidth
  • 1% of CPU usage per minute
  • 1% of overall CPU time

According to the project, unloaded ads are replaced with a notice saying that the ad was removed as it was using too many resources for the device, so Google removed it.
