WPP has shortlisted 4 firms to submit binding bids for a majority stake of Kantar. According to Reuters, citing sources familiar with the matter, the firms are Bain Capital, Apollo, and Platinum, plus a fourth undisclosed bidder.
Kantar is a research, data, insights and consulting company. Kantar employs 30,000 persons worldwide. The sale process should have new developments by the end of June.
The auction is led by Goldman Sachs. According to Reuters, Kantar generates about 15% of WPP’s overall sales.
