Last month, Facebook announced that has limited the exclusion ad targeting feature to comply with Facebook’s anti-discrimination policy, and with applicable anti-discrimination law. Facebook “heard concerns about potential abuse, particularly about the feature that lets advertisers exclude people from their ads.”
The abuse cases happened often on housing offering ads, employment, and credit ads. Facebook says that will focus mainly on topics that relate to potentially sensitive personal attributes, such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and religion.
Facebook Ads Manager has now a notice on the exclusion targeting saying that Facebook Advertising Policies prohibit wrongful discrimination.
