Ford this month had granted a patent application for Billboard Interfaces for Vehicle Displays. The patent application US 2021/0133810 A1 was initially filled in December 21, 2016.

According to the patent, the cars will interact with the billboards in the road, via a camera, and display screens. The patent says the car display will facilitate the users, driver or passengers, to obtain information related to a nearby billboard.
