Google doubles down on Ukraine Tech Recovery with $10 million support fund

Google today announced the launch of its second Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund, doubling down on its commitment to bolstering the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem and aiding its economic recovery amidst ongoing conflict.

Following the devastating war's outbreak, Google launched its first Ukraine Support Fund in March 2022, allocating $5 million in equity-free grants to 58 startups. Recipients have reaped impressive results, securing $15.8 million in additional funding, generating 100% revenue growth, and expanding their teams amidst the wartime hardships.

Standout examples include Skyworker.ai and Mindly, leveraging AI for economic empowerment, and Zeely, whose founders landed on Forbes Europe's 30 under 30 list. These achievements underscore the program's impact on Ukraine's tech sector.

The new $10 million fund extends this support throughout 2024 and 2025. Selected startups will receive:

  • Up to $100,000 in non-dilutive funding
  • Ongoing mentorship from Google experts
  • Product support and up to $300,000 in Cloud credits

This comprehensive package aims to help Ukrainian entrepreneurs navigate the current crisis, solidify their businesses, and contribute to long-term economic rebuilding. Applications will open later this year.
