Jamboard, Google’s collaborative digital whiteboard built for the cloud, was launched this month in Japan. Jamboard is available in Ireland, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, Spain, Finland, United States, Canada, UK, Australia, and now in Japan, via a Google Cloud sales rep.
Jamboard has a 55” 4K UHD display, 120 Hz touch scan rate, 60 Hz video refresh rate, HDMI 2.0, USB Type C , 2 X USB 3.0, SPDIF audio out, WIFI 802.11ac 2×2, NFC, 1 Gigabyte Ethernet, Google Cast, built-in tilt support, built-in wide-angle camera, down-firing speakers, built-in microphones,16 simultaneous touch points, handwriting and shape recognition, 2 x Fine tip passive stylus, eraser, microfiber cloth, a wall mount or a rolling stand.
Google says that teams can enrich their brainstorm with the best of Google Search and the team’s work in G Suite: users can grab images and content from the web and bring them straight into your jam; pull in work from Docs, Sheets, and Slides; even add photos stored in Drive.
Google Jamboard is on sale for $4,999.00. In addition to the Jamboard device, the Jamboard app is available on Android and iOS for all G Suite customers. When used on a tablet, the Jamboard app allows users to experience similar features as they would on the Jamboard device. On a smartphone, the app functions as a companion for the Jamboard device.
