Google relaxes ‘Insufficient payment information’ policy in Merchant Center

Google yesterday announced that will no longer require merchants to provide their accepted payment methods on their website to customers before the checkout process.

According to Google, merchants will still need to make sure at least one conventional payment method is available to customers during checkout.

Before, advertisers could see their account suspended or not approved if the payment methods were not clear before the checkout process.

Google’s examples of conventional payment methods are credit card, debit card, invoicing, or payment on delivery.
