IAB Tech Lab this month announced the launch of an Open Source Initiative. IAB Tech Lab says the Open Source Initiative aims to increase transparency and collaboration across the advertising community.
IAB Tech Lab housed The Open Source Initiative on GitHub. The Open Source Initiative provides actual standards implementations that can be directly integrated and tools that can be helpful in deploying standards.
The Open Source Initiative is governed by the IAB Tech Lab Architecture Group composed of Extreme Reach, GroupM, GumGum, Oracle, Tapad, and The Trade Desk.
Current projects include Unified ID 2.0 (UID2); Brand suitability test benchmarks; and Ads.cert.
