Twitter today announced that "on thursday, May 24, Twitter for Roku, Twitter for Android TV and Twitter for Xbox will no longer be available."
Twitter on Xbox allowed users to live stream sports, entertainment, and news for free on your big screen, optimised in full HD with curated Twitter commentary. No account was required, or possible.
Ratings for Twitter on Xbox were not good. Twitter on Xbox had a rating of around 1.5 in a total 5. Users complain that is not possible to access their own feed. That login is not possible and users can only see moments and trending tweets.
Twitter, instead of improving these apps, is shutting them down. Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV clients are the ones that remain available.
