Google this month updated the Customer Match feature that allows advertisers to upload CRM information in order to build an audience based on that information. Advertisers can now use phone numbers and home/mailing addresses for Customer Match. Before only email addresses were available.
Google says this enables advertisers to dramatically expand list sizes and match rates.
Customer Match works only on YouTube campaigns and there are 4 types of matching:
- Email address matching: Email
- Phone matching: Phone
- Mailing address matching: First Name, Last Name, Country, Zip
- Combined email address, mailing address, and phone matching: Email, Phone, First Name, Last Name, Country, Zip
The minimum number of entries/rows are 1,000 (30-day active users) and the maximum file size is 20 MB.
