How to play
Sort the sixteen terms into four groups of four. Select four tiles, then check the group.
Each group sits at a tier from 1 to 4. Tier 1 is the gentlest, Tier 4 the meanest. You find out which tier you hit only once the group is right.
Get three of the four and you'll be told you're one off. You won't be told which one.
Four wrong guesses ends the grid and reveals the answers.
Several terms are placed to look like they belong somewhere else. That's the puzzle, not a bug.

Where these came from
The reading arrives before the problem
Most of what you know about this trade, you learned from somebody else's bad week. A platform changed a rule, a vendor got acquired, a measurement argument broke out in public, and you read about it months before any of it reached your own accounts. That is unusual. In most jobs the vocabulary arrives with the experience. Here it arrives first, in coverage of problems you have not had yet, and sits there until the day it is suddenly load-bearing. The reward for keeping up is that nothing is ever entirely new to you. The cost is a head full of words attached to situations you have never worked through — which is exactly the condition this sorts out.
