Fifa this month announced the launch of FIFA+, a video ad-funded streaming app with live football matches, interactive games, news, tournament information, and video content around soccer, including FIFA+ Archive, with over 2,500 videos dating back to the 1950s.
FIFA says it is the first sports federation to offer a streaming and content experience to its fans. According to Fifa, over 29,000 men’s matches and over 11,000 women’s matches will be streamed in 2022.
FIFA+ is available across all web and mobile devices. It will be available in five language editions (English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish), with an additional six languages to follow in June of 2022.
Users can watch FIFA+ for free. FIFA+ is funded with pre-roll video ads.
