Google Ads to allow Sports Betting Ads in Vermont

Google today announced it will begin accepting and running ads for sports betting from state-approved entities in Vermont starting December 12, 2023. This is a significant change to the company's gambling and games policy, which previously prohibited all ads for online gambling.

The policy change comes as several states in the United States have legalized sports betting in recent years.

The gambling and games policy page will be updated when the policy goes into effect on December 12, 2023.
