These experimental features, available in the latest Chrome version (M121), are designed to streamline tab management, personalize theme creation, and provide assistance with web-based writing.
Smart Tab Organization with Tab Organizer
Tab Organizer addresses the common challenge of managing numerous open tabs, automating the process of grouping related tabs. By analyzing open tabs, Chrome will suggest and create logical tab groups based on topic or purpose. This feature is particularly beneficial for multitasking users who juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. To activate Tab Organizer, right-click on a tab and select "Organize Similar Tabs" or utilize the drop-down arrow next to the tabs. Chrome will even suggest names and emojis for the newly formed groups for easy identification.
Personalized Themes with AI-Powered Generation
Building upon the success of AI-generated wallpapers, Chrome introduces the ability to generate custom themes based on specific criteria. Users can choose a subject, mood, visual style, and color to personalize their browser's appearance. The AI model will interpret these preferences and create unique and aesthetically pleasing themes. To embark on this creative journey, access the "Customize Chrome" side panel, select "Change theme," and choose "Create with AI."
AI-Assisted Writing for Web Content
Next month's Chrome release will introduce an experimental AI feature to enhance web-based writing. Whether it's drafting a restaurant review, crafting a party RSVP, or composing a formal email, this AI-powered tool will provide guidance and support. To utilize this feature, right-click on any text box or field on a website and select "Help me write." Type in a few keywords, and the AI will assist you in crafting an engaging and well-structured message.
These new AI features represent Google's ongoing commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies into Chrome to enhance user experience. With the upcoming integration of the AI model Gemini, Chrome is poised to become even more intuitive and efficient, making browsing a seamless and enjoyable process.
