Google to launch a browser extension to inform users about the ads they see

Google yesterday announced that will launch a browser extension, working across different browsers, that will show information about the ads users are seeing from Google network.

Google expects to launch the browser extension in the coming months.

Prabhakar Raghavan, SVP, Google Ads & Commerce at Google, says the information will include the names of the intermediary companies, and the ad trackers companies.

Google says it also plans to present an aggregated snapshot for all the ads Google has shown a user recently.

Other advertising companies will be able to use the extension via a new API.
