Disney today announced the full launch of Hulu on Disney+, delivering a seamless entertainment experience and increased value proposition for Disney Bundle subscribers throughout the U.S.
The integration comes after a successful beta testing period and brings together the best of Hulu's content with Disney+'s beloved family-friendly programming.
“The collective power of Disney+ and Hulu – outstanding originals from the most powerful brands and studios in the industry, libraries filled with decades of iconic favorites, and industry-leading advertising and technological capabilities – is transformative,” said Joe Earley, President of Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment. “Today’s official launch of Hulu on Disney+ gives viewers even more opportunities to easily discover and enjoy thousands of titles all in one place, underscoring the extraordinary value of the Disney Bundle.”
With Hulu now fully incorporated, Disney Bundle subscribers can easily access the vast Hulu library. This expands choices for audiences with the addition of award-winning shows like The Bear, classic hits like Shōgun, and popular comedies like Only Murders in the Building.
Hulu's diverse content will also be fully integrated into Disney+'s recommendations, featured collections, and search - making discovery even easier across both streaming libraries.
The Disney+ app has also received significant technical updates to enhance personalization, search, and the overall viewing experience. “This marks the most significant technical, operational, and product evolution for Disney+ since its launch," said Aaron LaBerge, President & CTO, Disney Entertainment & ESPN.
Parental Controls and Curated Experiences
Families with Disney Bundle subscriptions will still have the robust content settings and parental controls necessary to ensure Disney+ is a safe and enjoyable experience for younger viewers.
Celebration and Future Innovation
Disney is marking the milestone with a new 360-degree marketing campaign celebrating the synergy of Disney+ and Hulu. The campaign will include everything from eye-catching out-of-home advertising to custom broadcast spots. The enhanced Disney+ app also boasts a redesigned logo, updated color palette, and a new orchestral theme to welcome users.
