IMA SDK no longer supports iOS 8 and below

Google today announced that the version 3.7.0 of the IMA iOS SDK no longer supports iOS 8. Google says “will stop providing forum support and bug fixes for iOS IMA SDK issues specifically related to iOS 8 and below.”

Google will not break compatibility with iOS 8 and below versions, but future releases are not guaranteed to continue to work with iOS 8. Bugs that only affect iOS 8 will no longer be investigated.

The iOS 8 and bellow versions have at the moment less than 2% share among the users using iOS as the operative system in their mobile phones.

IMA SDK allows app developers to monetize their apps with display and video ads.
