Individuals and organizations can now verify knowledge panels on the search results page, Google announced last month. There is a verification process to claim the panels and provide authoritative feedback on the information and images presented.
Knowledge Panels appear when users search for well-known people, organizations and things on Google. Knowledge Panel is a box with an overview of key information and links to resources to help users to go deeper.
Google says that any person, organization, sports team, event and media property with a Knowledge Panel is eligible to get verified and suggest edits to the information shown.
There are some limitations: The subtitle, Wikipedia snippet, images other than the main image, people also search for section cannot be modified. Content cannot be re-ordered or hidden if it’s accurate and publicly known.
