Meta this week announced several new features focused on enhancing media sharing and connectivity within its popular Messenger app. Users can now send photos in high definition for clearer, crisper images.
Additionally, a new shared album feature allows for collaborative photo and video collections directly within group chats, ideal for organizing and reminiscing about special moments.
Effortless connections are facilitated by the introduction of Messenger QR codes. Users can easily add new contacts by scanning codes or sharing theirs via a link, eliminating the need for manual searches. Messenger also expands its file-sharing capabilities, letting users directly send larger files (Word, PDF, Excel, zip, and more) up to 100MB in size within chats, offering a convenient alternative to email for file transfers.
Loredana Crisan, Head of Messenger, emphasizes the company's commitment to improving the Messenger experience: "We’re excited to start the rollout of a number of new features to make your Messenger conversations and connections even better.
These updates are gradually rolling out to users. Meta continues its focus on providing richer and more convenient ways for users to share memories and connect through the Messenger platform.
