New Google ad products: Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and Google Ad Manager

Google is consolidating the ad products into 3 major products: Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and Google Ad Manager. The announcement was done today.

For regular advertisers, Google AdWords is becoming Google Ads. For advanced advertisers, DoubleClick advertiser products and the Google Analytics 360 Suite is becoming in Google Marketing Platform. For publishers, DoubleClick for Publishers and DoubleClick Ad Exchange are becoming Google Ad Manager.

“As part of Google Marketing Platform, we’re announcing Display & Video 360. Display & Video 360 brings together features from DoubleClick Bid Manager, Campaign Manager, Studio and Audience Center to allow creative, agency, and media teams to collaborate and execute ad campaigns end-to-end in a single place,” wrote Sridhar Ramaswamy Senior Vice President, Ads & Commerce at Google.

On July 10, Google will do the Google Marketing Live webcast, with the latest ads, analytics and platforms innovations.

The major brands dropped by Google are Doubleclick and Adwords. Doubleclick (former Invite Media) was created in 1996 and acquired by Google in 2008. Adwords was created 18 years ago.
