Since this week, the Assistant on Google Home speaks Spanish, announced Google. To activate the Spanish language, users need to tap Menu in the Google Home app, select Preferences in the Settings menu and then select Español.
Google gives examples how users can ask Google Assistant for help: Ask about your day with “Ok Google, ¿cómo será mi día?” and get a full rundown of what’s on your schedule for the day. Another example: get to know more about the World Cup by asking “Ok Google, ¿cuándo juega México?” or cheer for your team with “Ok Google, dame un cántico de fútbol.”
Until now, only Siri supported Spanish, however not in the HomePod. So Google is the first to have a voice assistant speaking in Spanish on a smart speaker.
