Sixteen terms. Four groups of four. Find the connection.

How to play

Sort the sixteen terms into four groups of four. Select four tiles, then check the group.

Each group sits at a tier from 1 to 4. Tier 1 is the gentlest, Tier 4 the meanest. You find out which tier you hit only once the group is right.

Get three of the four and you'll be told you're one off. You won't be told which one.

Four wrong guesses ends the grid and reveals the answers.

Several terms are placed to look like they belong somewhere else. That's the puzzle, not a bug.

New grid every morning, with the Digest.

Old words keep drawing salary

Somewhere in every account there is a saved report named after a product that was switched off two reorganisations ago, and nobody renames it because everyone knows what it means. That is how this industry stores knowledge: not in documentation, which gets rewritten whenever a platform ships, but in the words that stayed behind after the thing they described was folded, sold or quietly retired. A practitioner who has lived through two or three of those cycles hears a dead name and knows immediately which argument is coming, which vendor lost, and which line in the contract still assumes the old behaviour. The rest of us look it up. Sorting the survivors from the pretenders is the skill.
