Bing Ads is retiring Campaign Planner in favor of Bing Keyword Planner, a similar product of Adwords Keyword Planner. According to Search Engine Land, the Campaign Planner should go offline in the end of July.
The Campaign Planner was limited to Canadian, USA and UK markets. With the Keyword planner that limitation does not exist anymore. Though, while running some tests, languages are still limited to english, french and german, and countries like Brazil are not included in the tool.
When comparing the Campaign Planner to Keyword Planner, the advantage of using the Campaign Planner is that it provided vertical benchmarks, trending and forecasting data, competitor performance and keyword suggestions. Campaign Planner was created in 2014 and one year later, in 2015, Bing Ads launched Keyword Planner for keyword research, bid and budget estimating. Most of the features were overlapping on both tools.
