SpotX announced this week the interoperability with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power server-side insertion for streaming video advertisements with the AWS Elemental MediaTailor service.
AWS Elemental MediaTailor is a personalization and monetization service that makes it easy to serve video with targeted ads to end users while maintaining broadcast quality-of-service for multiscreen video applications. AWS Elemental MediaTailor can function as a standalone service or within a larger video workflow that includes other AWS Elemental MediaLive, AWS Elemental MediaConvert and AWS Elemental MediaPackage. AWS Media Services are cloud-based services with pay-as-you-go pricing which provide customers the capability to ingest, process, package, and deliver video content at scale.
The SpotX cloud-based ad serving platform works with AWS Elemental MediaTailor, providing solutions for monetization of live and on-demand video workflows for multiscreen applications. SpotX provides ad decisioning capabilities in server-side ad insertion environments, giving video providers the ability to insert ads dynamically targeted to users. The resulting advertisements are optimized with video quality on par with the anchor content and are simpler to manage across multi-platform environments.
