The must-have browser extensions for programmatic

The DSPs and Adtech providers are constantly building tools to help advertisers and publishers, so they have the best setup on their campaigns, regarding tracking or ad placement implementations. If you use Adwords, Bing, Doubleclick, Appnexus, Google Analytics, Adform, Mediamath or another ad tool, these add-ons for Chrome, Safari or Firefox can be extremely helpful to troubleshoot and to check if everything is fine. As you can notice below, Chrome is by far the browser with more extensions for online advertising.

This extension helps you create a prebid config for all DFP placements or to check all the information about auctions which ran.

Chrome – Headerbid Expert

If you’re a publisher, you may want to understand how your web pages header bidding partners are doing – 1. What’s the latency from each header bidding partner? 2. Do they load asynchronously or are they blocking my pages? 3. Are they all loaded together in parallel? If not, your page might be under-monetized or be suffering from potential impression loss! Use this tool to find out!

Chrome – AppNexus MRAID Viewer

View MRAID creatives in a desktop browser.

Chrome – Adform STT TTE

This is an Adform tracking testing extension, which helps to check what kind of tracking point is firing on the page.

Chrome – Tag Assistant

Most Google tags are checked including Google Analytics, Adwords Conversion Tracking, Google Tag Manager and more.

Chrome – Google Publisher Toolbar

View data on your AdSense, Ad Exchange, and DoubleClick for Publishers ads and accounts, and block unsuitable ads on your site.

Chrome – Google Analytics Debugger

This extension loads the debug version of the Google Analytics Javascript for all sites you browse using Google Chrome. It prints useful information to the Javascript console. These messages include error messages and warnings which can tell you when your analytics tracking code is set up incorrectly. In addition, it provides a detailed breakdown of each tracking beacon sent to Google Analytics.

Chrome – DoubleClick QA Helper

Quality Assurance (QA) involves testing based on the format and features of each creative. These tests confirm that a creative behaves according to both advertiser and publisher specifications. Use the QA Helper’s checklists to test your creative’s functionality and review publisher best practices.

Google – Dynamic Ad Inspector

Dynamic Ad inspector helps you troubleshoot dynamic ads by displaying its content and info such as Profile id, creative type, ad tag type, and DFA entities. Links also work for Studio and DFA when the user is signed into those accounts. The tool will indicate when a dynamic ad is detected on a website. Simply open it to see the ad info.
