Top podcast networks
The Top Sales Networks Report ranks podcast networks based on average weekly downloads and users. For the month of April 2024:
- SiriusXM Podcast Network retained the top spot with 40.5 million average weekly downloads and 13.8 million average weekly users.
- NPR remained in second place with 25.6 million average weekly downloads and 7.0 million average weekly users.
- Wondery held onto the third-place position with 20.7 million average weekly downloads and 7.2 million average weekly users.
Top podcasts by downloads
The Ranker also identifies the most popular podcasts based on average weekly downloads:
- NPR News Now (NPR) maintained its position as the most downloaded podcast in April 2024.
- Up First (NPR) climbed to the second position compared to the previous month.
- Crime Junkie (audiochuck) remained in the top three, securing the third position.
Top podcasts by listeners
The Ranker includes a separate ranking for podcasts based on the average weekly audience:
- NPR News Now (NPR) held onto the top spot for listeners.
- Crime Junkie (audiochuck) remained the second most popular podcast based on listeners.

The April 2024 Ranker also highlights two noteworthy debuts:
- Smosh Reads Reddit Stories (The Roost Podcast Network) entered the listener rankings for the first time.
