YouTube rolls out new features for creators, including free Channel memberships gifting
YouTube today announced a number of new features designed to make it easier for creators to create and share content, and to connect with their audiences.
YouTube today announced a number of new features designed to make it easier for creators to create and share content, and to connect with their audiences. These features include:
- Mobile uploads: Creators can now upload videos and Shorts directly from their mobile device's gallery, and set the monetization status in YouTube Studio. This is a long-requested feature that will make it much easier for creators to create and share content on the go.
- Posts-only feed: A posts-only feed is now available for Android and iOS mobile devices. This feed will allow creators to discover and engage with community posts, which are becoming an increasingly popular way for creators to connect with their fans.
- Live stream product tagging: Creators in the YouTube Shopping affiliate program can now tag products from participating merchants in their live streams. This will make it easier for viewers to shop for products that they see in live streams, and could also help creators to earn more revenue.
- Free Channel memberships gifting: Eligible creators can now gift up to 10 free Channel memberships per month to their viewers on live streams and premieres. This is a great way for creators to grow their membership communities and engage with their fans.
