Since May 2016, Google has in place a feature called Firebase App Indexing that allows app publishers seeing the App content indexed by Google Search. Until this month, there was also a feature on Google Webmasters Search Console that did exactly the same but was discontinued to avoid duplication.
How will the results of search look like?
- If the users have your app installed, they can go directly to the app, on the content appears on the search result page.
- If the users do not have your app installed, Google will invite them to install the app via an install card.
Firebase App Indexing works with the Operative Systems iOS and Android.
