Near Perfect Media, a Birmingham, Mich.-based public relations agency, has added Frank Buscemi as partner and executive vice president. The company, which was started in 2006 by Justin Near, provides public relations, crisis management, marketing and event services to corporations, professionals and celebrities.
“Near Perfect Media has grown significantly in recent years, and I recognized that in order to sustain this growth, we would need to make an acquisition of sorts, whether it be another firm or a top-tier, senior-level PR practitioner,” said Justin Near, president and founder of Near Perfect Media. “Frank’s global experience and expertise across multiple industries is exactly what we’ve been seeking.”
Buscemi joins Near Perfect Media from TI Automotive, where he directed all global marketing and communications activities for the worldwide supplier of automotive fluid systems technology. During his 20-year career, he has worked in both corporate and agency settings and has experience in all facets of marketing and communications. He began his career in 1993 as a sports writer for The Oakland Press before moving into public relations with John Bailey & Associates, Inc., in 1996. He also held positions with ZF and Kmart Corporation.
“Justin has worked hard over the past decade to establish a very solid, highly-reputable company, and I’ve been fortunate enough to this point in my career to work with some great companies and great people all over the world,” Buscemi said. “My goal is to build on this foundation and combine our skills to give our clients exactly what they need.”
A Detroit-area native, Buscemi is a graduate of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich.
