Senior Vice President of Ads at Google announced yesterday, at dmexco, a new type of ads on Youtube. The ad is TrueView for action and allows advertisers to do performance campaigns on Youtube. For that, Adwords just includes a button on the ad of Youtube. Google estimates that around 70M people is going to Youtube searching for help with a purchase. These micro moments can be very important for the advertisers, and these ads contain the call to action Advertisers need.
This new overlay with an action “encourages users to take any online action that’s meaningful for your business.” Google gave examples of possible actions: requesting a quote, install an app, do a purchase, signing up a newsletter or scheduling a test drive.
For this actions, advertisers will be able to select the following buttons: “Get a quote,” “Book now” or “Sign up.”
