Amazon today updated its weekly Prime Video Top 10 page with rankings for the week of October 12 to 18, 2026, placing the film Love of Your Life first among Prime Original films and the series Carrie first among Prime Original series worldwide. The page, written by Amazon Staff and first published on June 3, carries a modified date of October 21 in its metadata, which is the source of both dates. Like every edition since June, it ranks titles by the number of accounts that watched them, and it publishes no viewer totals, hours or account counts.
In Short
Amazon publishes a weekly list of the shows and films made for Prime Video that the most accounts around the world watched, and this week a film called Love of Your Life and a series called Carrie came out on top. Prime Video shows ads to most of its viewers, so a list like this hints at which programmes are drawing the biggest audiences for advertisers. It only gives rank order, though, so it says which titles were popular without saying how popular, and it leaves out everything Amazon did not make itself.
What the page measures
According to Amazon, the lists are calculated from the total number of Prime Video accounts worldwide that viewed a title between Monday and Sunday. For series, any available season counts, so a long-running show collects accounts from viewers watching older seasons as well as the latest one. Amazon states that the rankings visible inside the Prime Video app differ from these lists, because the app uses a shorter period and country-specific viewing data. The page says it is updated weekly with the newest Prime Video viewership data.
Three limits follow from that design. First, only Prime Originals are ranked. Licensed films and series, which make up much of what Prime Video streams, are absent, and the page does not say what share of total viewing the originals represent. Second, an account counts once whether it watched two minutes or an entire season; the page does not define what threshold counts as a view. Third, there are no numbers at all. A title at number one could lead the second-placed title by a handful of accounts or by millions, and the page gives no way to tell.
That makes Amazon's chart a different instrument from the Netflix reporting PPC Land has tracked. Netflix's first engagement report, published in December 2023, ranked more than 18,000 titles by hours viewed over six months and covered 99% of all Netflix viewing. Amazon's weekly lists are narrower, shorter and number-free.
The page sorts its output into four lists: films (English and non-English combined), series (combined), non-English films and non-English series. Some titles carry an "International Original" label with the country that produced them.
Films: Love of Your Life first, Masterplan third after three days
Love of Your Life, whose image caption on the page names Gabriel Basso and Margaret Qualley, ranked first among Prime Original films for October 12 to 18. The Love Hypothesis was second.
Third place went to Masterplan, an International Original credited to France and Italy, which the page associates with Stanley Tucci in a linked headline. Amazon lists the film as slated for October 16, a Friday. If that date held, Masterplan reached third place on the strength of three days in a seven-day window. It does not appear on the non-English film list, which suggests Amazon does not classify it as a non-English production despite its European origins.
The full film ranking, according to Amazon:
- Love of Your Life
- The Love Hypothesis
- Masterplan (International Original: France, Italy)
- Drawn Together / Enfrentados: Marfil (International Original: Spain)
- You+Me - Against the World / Toi+Moi - Seuls contre tous (International Original: France)
- Project Hail Mary
- The Last Sunrise
- Masters of the Universe
- The Runner
- A Working Man
Project Hail Mary, pictured on the page with Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, sits sixth. A Working Man, in tenth place, was also on the very first chart PPC Land covered: it ranked fifth among films for the week of May 25 to 31, more than four months earlier. Its staying power on a list that counts accounts rather than minutes indicates a steady stream of new viewers rather than repeat viewing.
Series: Carrie leads, Neagley one place above Reacher
Carrie, pictured on the page with Summer H. Howell in the title role, was the most-watched Prime Original series of the week. The page gives no premiere date for it.
Second place went to Neagley, a series built around Frances Neagley, the character Maria Sten plays in Reacher. Reacher itself was third. Because Amazon counts accounts that watched any available season, Reacher's position reflects viewing across its whole run, while Neagley competes as a newer title. That the spinoff placed above the parent series in a week measured this way is the most notable movement in the series list, though without account totals the gap between them cannot be sized. Prime Video renewed Reacher for a fifth season at its May 11 Upfront in New York.
The full series ranking, according to Amazon:
- Carrie
- Neagley
- Reacher
- Off Campus
- Sterling Point
- Helluva Boss
- A Love Other Than Yours (International Original: South Korea)
- Red Queen / Reina Roja (International Original: Spain)
- Dupahiya (International Original: India)
- Kill Jackie
Off Campus, now fourth, led the series chart for the week of May 25 to 31. Amazon said at the time that its first season reached 36 million viewers in its first 12 days, which PPC Land reported was the third most-viewed debut season in Prime Video history. Five months later it remains in the top five.
Three of the ten series are non-English International Originals, from South Korea, Spain and India. On the film list, two of the ten are non-English.
Non-English lists: Spain dominates films
The non-English film list is where production geography is most visible. Six of its ten titles are Spanish productions, according to Amazon:
- Drawn Together / Enfrentados: Marfil (Spain)
- You+Me - Against the World / Toi+Moi - Seuls contre tous (France)
- Culpa Mia (Spain)
- Culpa Nuestra (Spain)
- Culpa Tuya (Spain)
- Agent Zeta (Spain)
- Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End / Apocalipsis Z: El principio del fin (Spain)
- Vengeance / Venganza (Mexico)
- No Place to Be Single / Non e un Paese per Single (Italy)
- The Tank / Der Tiger (Germany)
All three Culpa films occupy consecutive places, third to fifth. A whole film series ranking together in the same week points to viewers working through the set in order, which the account-based method rewards: each film collects its own count from the same accounts. No Place to Be Single, ninth here, ranked fourth on the combined film chart for May 25 to 31.
The non-English series list is more spread out, with eight countries represented:
- A Love Other Than Yours (South Korea)
- Red Queen / Reina Roja (Spain)
- Dupahiya (India)
- The Trial / El Juicio (Mexico)
- Friends Sex and Games (Germany)
- Rise and Fall (India)
- I Would Rather Die / Prefiero la Muerte (Mexico)
- Maxton Hall - The World Between Us / Maxton Hall - Die Welt Zwischen Uns (Germany)
- Good Luck Guys Danmark (Denmark)
- Cathedrals / Catedrales (Chile)
India, Mexico and Germany each place two titles. Chile's Cathedrals extends a pattern from the first chart, when The House of the Spirits, another Chilean production, ranked third among non-English series. That fits the commitment Prime Video made on August 20 to spend $2 billion on Latin American content by 2030.
The page does not compare any of the four lists with the previous week, so week-on-week movements for individual titles are not available from Amazon's own publication.
What comes next on the schedule
Several titles promoted on the same page fall outside the October 12 to 18 window and will feature, if at all, in later editions. The Terminal List season two, with Chris Pratt, is listed as streaming now; PPC Land reported that all eight episodes arrive in more than 240 countries and territories on October 21. The page also lists Drive - The Pretenders for October 28, The Greatest, a Muhammad Ali series, for November 4, The Rings of Power season three for November 11 and Perfect Liars for November 20. It mentions the 2026-27 NBA season on Prime Video and more than 900 free channels, which Amazon describes as FAST channels.
Why the chart matters to advertisers
Prime Video carries ads by default. Amazon introduced them in January 2024 and disclosed 315 million global ad-supported viewers with its fourth-quarter 2025 results, figures repeated at its 2026 Upfront. That places Prime Video among the largest AVOD services, and the titles on these lists are the inventory buyers are paying for. Amazon's advertising revenue reached $19.8 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up 26%, with sports inventory sold out.
Amazon's ad leadership presents streaming entertainment and live sports as a single sales proposition. Alan Moss, Amazon's vice president of global advertising sales, described them as one business in May. Live sports come with viewer averages that Amazon publishes freely; Thursday Night Football averaged 15.33 million viewers in its 2025 season. Entertainment programming, on the evidence of this page, comes with rank order and nothing more.
For buyers negotiating the next upfront, that asymmetry matters. A rank tells a planner which originals are drawing the most accounts in a given week, but not how many ad impressions sat behind each title, nor in which countries. Amazon has said that the in-app rankings use country-specific data, which means it holds a regional breakdown that the public page does not show. PPC Land's analysis of the first chart in June made the same point: without episode or demographic detail, the weekly data is a directional signal rather than a planning input.
Third-party measurement is moving in the opposite direction. Nielsen plans an early-2027 product family built on streaming data supplied directly by publishers, and its monthly Nielsen Gauge already reports platform-level shares of US television time. Netflix, meanwhile, has published hours and views by title for nearly three years, and PPC Land has used that data to show, for example, that 89% of returning Netflix series lost viewers from one season to the next. No comparable analysis is possible with Amazon's weekly lists, because there is nothing to compare except position.
