Turkish girl group manifest's "TRALALA" lost 48.8% of its weekly views in its second week on YouTube's global Top Songs chart, falling from No. 4 to No. 29 with 13,993,415 views in the week ending October 22, 2026, according to the weekly chart files YouTube publishes. It was the steepest percentage fall of any song that stayed in the top 100. Its place as the week's highest new entry went to "NEON" by A2O LITE, the first girl group produced by former SM Entertainment chief Lee Soo-man, which debuted at No. 3 with 36,047,912 views. The two songs share a pattern. Türkiye's own chart supplies 86.3% of "TRALALA"'s views, and the 16 national charts in PPC Land's sample account for 21.4% of "NEON", whose home market of South Korea is not among them. Shakira and Burna Boy's "Dai Dai" held No. 1 for a 23rd week with 44,641,123 views, down 6.9%, while Olivia Rodrigo's "expectations" with Chappell Roan took No. 1 in the US, the UK and Australia.
In Short
A Turkish girl group's song that was the fourth biggest on YouTube worldwide last week lost about half its views this week, and almost all of what was left still came from Türkiye. A new Korean girl group took its place as the biggest new song, but most of that song's views came from countries whose charts were not checked. So a song's global rank says how big it is, not where its audience lives, and a big first week can shrink quickly.
What the files contain
Twenty CSV files dated October 22, 2026 form the basis of this analysis. Seventeen are weekly YouTube Charts Top Songs lists: the global ranking plus 16 national markets, namely Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States. The other three are the global Top Artists, Top Music Videos and Top Shorts Songs charts. The set is the same as PPC Land's analysis of the October 15 week, the first to include Türkiye. Comparisons with earlier weeks use the 15 markets common to all of them unless Türkiye is named.
The format has not changed. Songs and videos files carry 100 rows each with Rank, Previous Rank, title, artists, Periods on Chart, Views, Growth and a YouTube URL. The artists file drops the title and URL, and the Shorts file has 50 rows and no views. PPC Land treats each export as a Friday-to-Thursday week, which makes this the week of October 16 to October 22.
The usual caveats hold. The Growth column carries a percent sign but works as a decimal fraction: "TRALALA" shows -0.49%, while its raw totals imply a 48.8% fall. Growth figures below are converted on that basis. YouTube began counting a view from the moment playback starts on August 24, 2026, and the files do not mark the change. Sixteen national markets are also only a sample of the countries YouTube publishes charts for. South Korea, Mexico, Thailand and Pakistan are among those absent.
TRALALA's second week
Last week "TRALALA" entered at No. 4 with 27,318,613 views. This week it sits at No. 29, a drop of 25 places and 13,325,198 views. Its official video fell from No. 3 to No. 14 on the Top Music Videos chart with 11,254,100 views, and manifest left the global Top Artists chart altogether, a week after re-entering at No. 70 with 60,794,857 views. The group's second global song, "Toz Pembe", also dropped out of the songs top 100.
What remains is even more concentrated in one country. "TRALALA" holds No. 1 on YouTube's Turkish chart for a second week with 12,074,025 views, 86.3% of its global total by PPC Land's calculation, up from 85.2% a week earlier. Outside Türkiye it appears only in Germany, where it slid from No. 3 to No. 30 with 285,131 views, and the Netherlands, down from No. 10 to No. 26 with 63,061. It left the UK chart, where it had debuted at No. 41. The other 15 national charts now account for 348,192 views, or 2.5% of the global total.
The fall is steeper outside Türkiye than inside it. Turkish views dropped 48.1%, from 23,266,814 to 12,074,025. German views fell 64.9% and Dutch views 46.1%. Even so, the song still leads the Turkish chart by a wide margin: Blok3's "Kayıp Kalp" is second with 7,914,667.
One new signal points the other way. "TRALALA" enters the global Top Shorts Songs chart at No. 31 in its second week, meaning more creators used it as a soundtrack for Shorts even as long-form viewing halved. The Shorts chart carries no view counts, so the scale of that use is not visible.
The Turkish cluster shrinks
The group of songs by Turkish acts on the global chart now numbers seven again, but with a different line-up. "Toz Pembe" left, and Mabel Matiz's "Umrumdışı" debuted at No. 83 with 8,020,989 views, 90.8% of them from No. 4 on the Turkish chart. Blok3 keeps four songs, all lower than a week ago: "Sebebi Yar (Live)" fell from No. 12 to No. 22 with 15,443,631 views, down 15.3%, and "Kayıp Kalp", "Çok Güzel Gülüyorsun" with Poizi, and "Kırgınım" sit at No. 39, No. 57 and No. 61. Eypio's "Şahidim" edged up from No. 67 to No. 66.
Together the seven drew 77,740,164 global views, 6.0% of the top 100, against 96,013,886 and 7.8% for the cluster a week earlier. Türkiye supplies 54,444,679 of those views, 70.0%. The other 15 national charts add 2,899,610, or 3.7%, almost all of it in Germany and the Netherlands. The Turkish chart itself drew 199,838,158 views, down 9.0% from 219,586,743, and it is now 10.4% of the 1,924,223,999 views across all 16 markets.
NEON and the Korea gap
"NEON" is the week's highest new entry, and at No. 3 it sits above KAROL G's "BbY WOW" and below only "Dai Dai" and "KALYANI (Remix)". The song is credited to "A2O & A2O LITE" on the songs chart and "A2O LITE & A2O" on the videos chart.
The group behind it is new. According to The Korea Times, A2O LITE is a nine-member girl group launched by A2O Entertainment, with members from Korea, China, Japan and Thailand, and "NEON" is its debut digital single, released at 6 p.m. on October 13 and produced by Yoo Young-jin. The paper reports that the song reached No. 1 on Melon, Korea's largest music streaming service, about 29 hours after release. Lee sold his SM Entertainment stake to Hybe in February 2023 and returned to the domestic market after a three-year non-compete agreement expired earlier this year, according to the same report. Sports Kyunghyang reports that the music video was released a day early, on October 12, alongside a boy group from the same company, A2O SOUL. Neither report describes a separate act named "A2O", the first credit on the YouTube chart.
"NEON" does not appear in the October 15 global file, although the single was out for the final three days of that week. Its first full week put it straight into the top three.
Where those views came from is mostly invisible in the sample. The song appears on eight of the 16 national charts:
- Japan: No. 7 with 3,052,026 views
- Indonesia: No. 21 with 2,381,210
- United States: No. 52 with 1,095,126
- Philippines: No. 66 with 576,893
- Australia: No. 7 with 252,548
- United Kingdom: No. 62 with 156,598
- Germany: No. 78 with 150,984
- Netherlands: No. 65 with 37,847
Those placings add up to 7,703,232 views, or 21.4% of the global total, leaving 28,344,680 views from markets outside the set or below the national cut-offs, by PPC Land's calculation. South Korea, where the song topped Melon, is the most obvious gap, but the files cannot say how much of the remainder it supplies.
The upload pattern is also unusual. The official video, under the same URL as the songs-chart entry, debuts at No. 11 on the videos chart with 13,667,488 views, 37.9% of the song's total. A second "NEON" upload under a different URL enters at No. 95 with 4,595,081. Even together, the two account for 50.7% of the song's chart views, below the median of 63.8% that PPC Land measured for matched songs in the October 8 week. Neither A2O nor A2O LITE appears on the global Top Artists chart, whose 100th place needed 50,852,873 views, and "NEON" is absent from the Shorts chart.
Two other K-pop releases debut lower down. IVE's "Looks Can Kill" enters at No. 60 with 9,622,337 views, with national placings only in Japan, at No. 20, and Australia. KATSEYE's "Hootie Frutti" lost 20.6% of its views and fell from No. 11 to No. 23, the second-largest percentage fall among returning songs.
Dai Dai, KALYANI and the Western releases
"Dai Dai" held the global No. 1 in its 23rd week on the chart with 44,641,123 views, down 6.9% from 47,942,059. That is 62.1% below the 117,818,800 weekly views PPC Land recorded in early August, a comparison that crosses the August 24 change in view counting. "KALYANI (Remix)" by ARJN, KDS, FIFTY4 and Shreya Ghoshal gained 5.4% to 41,912,199, and the gap between the two has narrowed to 6.5%, from 20.6% a week earlier and about 30% two weeks ago. India's chart supplies 32,981,818 of the remix's views at No. 1.
"Dai Dai" lost one of its three national No. 1s. In the UK it fell to third with 1,091,748 views, behind two releases that arrived on October 15. It still leads Germany, with 1,433,056 views, and the Netherlands, with 354,315, and it appears in 12 of the 16 national charts, more than any other song.
expectations and Housewife
Olivia Rodrigo's "expectations" with Chappell Roan debuts at No. 8 globally with 24,602,989 views. According to Clash, the song first appeared on Rodrigo's third album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love", and the new version with Roan was released on October 15. It now leads three national charts:
- United States: No. 1 with 5,777,219 views, ahead of Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" (4,921,428), which loses the top spot in its 51st week
- United Kingdom: No. 1 with 1,508,272
- Australia: No. 1 with 758,033, also displacing "Choosin' Texas"
The song appears on 11 national charts in all, the same reach as "Dai Dai" across the 15 markets without Türkiye. Those 11 placings account for 14,891,576 views, 60.5% of its global total. Its official video debuts at No. 5 on the videos chart with 17,544,621 views. On the global Top Artists chart, Rodrigo climbs 45 places to No. 52 with 73,984,573 views, up 44.7%, the largest climb of the week.
Tate McRae's "Housewife", which Capital FM reported was due for release on Thursday, October 15, debuts at No. 13 globally with 18,555,692 views. It is No. 2 in the UK (1,298,991), Australia (700,730) and the Netherlands (233,413), No. 3 in the US (4,101,094) and No. 4 in Germany. The UK picture lines up with the sales-and-streaming chart this week. The Official Charts Company's First Look on October 18 had "expectations" as the early frontrunner for No. 1, with "Housewife" third.
The data carries a small inconsistency on "expectations". The global file and nine national files list it in its first period. The US file gives it a second period with a previous rank of 37, consistent with views from release day, October 15, falling into the previous chart week. The Australian file also gives a second period, but with no previous rank, and the song does not appear in Australia's October 15 file.
A video game song on the music chart
"Flower In A Hurricane [from GTAVI]" debuts at No. 48 with 10,926,066 views. The songs file credits Justice, Tame Impala, SZA and "Grand Theft Auto VI", a video game, as artists. According to Variety, the track is a Justice single featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, who are not credited in the YouTube files. Variety reports that it appears on "Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album", that Justice is composing the game's score, and that the game and soundtrack release on November 19.
The song charts in nine national markets, mostly Western: No. 7 in the Netherlands, No. 8 in Australia, No. 10 in the UK, No. 14 in Germany and No. 15 in the US with 1,929,477 views. Those placings account for 46.6% of its global total. Its video, under the same URL, is No. 56 on the videos chart with 6,068,758 views. For advertisers, it is an unusual case of a game marketing asset ranking as a song in its own right, four weeks before the product it promotes goes on sale.
Where the global chart's views come from
PPC Land repeated last week's coverage measure: for each global song, the views on all 16 national charts that list the same YouTube URL, divided by its global views. It is a lower bound, since a song's views in a market where it ranks below 100th are not counted, and markets outside the sample are invisible.
- Across the global top 100, the 16 national charts account for 681,788,958 of 1,293,647,217 views, or 52.7%, up from 51.1%. Without Türkiye, the figure is 48.2%, up from 45.2%.
- The median song has 51.9% of its global views visible, against 41.9% a week earlier. Without Türkiye, the median is 41.6%.
- Thirty-six songs have 80% or more of their views accounted for, against 35 last week. Nineteen have less than 10%, the same as last week.
- Eight songs, worth 72,202,732 views, appear on none of the 16 national charts, down from ten.
The eight include GAVIN:D's two Thai-language songs, "อย่ามากกว่าฉันก็พอ (Jealous)" at No. 32 and "ได้แค่เดินมาส่ง (The Last Walk)" at No. 96, and a Thai debut by PORZAX, "ยิ้มอันตราย", at No. 80. Two are Latin tracks: "Tu Boda" by Oscar Maydon and Fuerza Regida and "Perdóname" by La Factoria and Eddy Lover. The Weeknd's "Starboy" re-enters at No. 77 with 8,263,801 views in its 44th period without a single national placing. Two are Hindi-language songs that do not reach India's chart: "Banjaara" by Mohammed Irfan and Mithoon, with 8,056,946 global views, and "Zaalima" by Arijit Singh and Harshdeep Kaur, with 7,434,167, although India's 100th place needed only 3,132,591. "Пешта" (Peshta) by Xamdam Sobirov, at No. 10 with 22,566,518 views, has 0.2% accounted for, through a single Dutch placing.
The two largest national charts both grew. India's chart drew 706,079,370 views, up 6.3%, and accounts for 40.9% of the 1,724,385,841 views across the 15 long-running markets, which rose 3.7%. Brazil's chart rose 2.1% to 231,279,983, and three new Brazilian entries reached the global chart with more than 94% of their views visible on Brazil's chart alone.
India's new entries
Indian releases supply five of the 17 debuts. Anirudh Ravichander's "Ala Bolelo" enters at No. 6 with 26,901,988 views and is No. 3 in India with 23,784,075. With "Yeshanagula" up from No. 8 to No. 7, Anirudh climbs seven places to No. 6 on the artists chart with 192,318,047 views, up 35.6%. Sai Abhyankkar, who has four songs on the global chart including the debut "Veezh Veeraa" at No. 49, rises 14 places to No. 27 among artists, with views up 19.4%.
"Kaali Hoodie" by Sidhu Moose Wala, BOHEMIA and The Kidd debuts at No. 14 with 18,088,344 views. Its music video is No. 8 on the videos chart with 15,011,192, or 83.0% of the song's total, a far higher share than "NEON" achieves. India supplies 12,826,054 views at No. 10, and the song also places at No. 6 in Australia and No. 22 in the UK. A week after "295" carried Sidhu Moose Wala up the artists chart, that song has left the global songs top 100, but "Kaali Hoodie" lifts him another 15 places to No. 29 with 93,816,346 views, up 15.4%.
The third-largest video debut has no songs-chart counterpart at all. "Ramayana: Ravana Tandav (Song)", whose title names AR Rahman, enters the videos chart at No. 9 with 14,775,805 views. The artist field credits Lacuna Coil, a name that does not appear in the title, and the song does not appear on the global or any national songs chart.
National leaders
Thirteen different songs top the 16 national charts, the same number as a week earlier, and 12 across the 15 long-running markets. Five markets changed leader:
- United States, United Kingdom and Australia: "expectations", as above.
- Spain: KAROL G's "BbY WOW" with Judeline and rusowsky moves up to No. 1 with 1,318,249 views, ending the run of Quevedo and Elvis Crespo's "LA GRACIOSA" (1,235,402) after one week. "Dai Dai" is third again.
- Brazil: "Flash (Minha Mente)" by Hugo & Guilherme and Zé Vaqueiro jumps from No. 14 to No. 1 with 9,619,979 views, a Growth value of 1.69%, which on the decimal reading means views rose about 2.7 times. Dupla Felipe e Rodrigo's "Pós (Ao Vivo)" is second with 9,100,598 and Netto Brito and Luan Pereira's "Mega Hair (Ao Vivo)" third. All three debut on the global chart, at No. 56, No. 59 and No. 75. jeninho and Mariana Fagundes' "Peão Todo Tatuado", last week's leader, has left the global top 100.
The other leaders are unchanged. "Dai Dai" holds Germany and the Netherlands. "KALYANI (Remix)" leads India, Tulus's "Teh Hijau" Indonesia, the EBiDAN collaboration "Yes! 東京" Japan, "Fille à Papa" by Vacra and La Rvfleuze France, and Plutonio's "Isaltino" Portugal, where its views fell another 27% and its lead over the debut "ERRO & ACERTO" is just 11,031 views. In Kenya, Bien's "I'll Be Okay" holds No. 1 in its second week with 2,780,248 views, up about 37% and 2.8 times the 989,078 of "Shing" in second. "Nayvee's Prayer" leads South Africa, and Mariah Deborah's "Na Para Bang" leads the Philippines with 9,518,708 views, 1.7 times the 5,537,577 of "Mahal Magmahal", which fell 23% and dropped off the global chart.
National charts remain overwhelmingly local. The 1,500 positions in the 15 long-running files are filled by 1,112 distinct recordings, and 954 of them, or 85.8%, appear in only one market, against 86.3% a week ago. The most widespread are "expectations" and "Dai Dai", each in 11, followed by KATSEYE's "Animal" in 10.
Shorts
"PASSO BEM SOLTO (Slowed)" by ATLXS leads the Top Shorts Songs chart for another week, now in its 83rd period. Alok and Alan Walker's "Headlights" with KIDDO climbs from No. 4 to No. 2, and "BAILA LENTO" by sma$her and MC DA$ILVA from No. 8 to No. 3. "Payal Ki Khanak", No. 2 a week ago, falls to No. 18, and "KALYANI (Remix)" slips from third to seventh.
Twelve of the 50 Shorts entries also appear on the global songs top 100, the same number as in each of the two previous weeks. Thirteen songs enter or re-enter, including Daddy Yankee's "Me Quedo" at No. 16 and "TRALALA" at No. 31. Seven titles carry "Slowed". Of the week's big debuts on the songs chart, none appears on the Shorts list.
Data quality notes
The October 22 files repeat some of last week's problems and add new ones:
- Missing URLs: India's No. 69, "Bahut Jatate Ho Chah Humse" by Alka Yagnik and Mohammad Aziz, has "n/a" in place of a YouTube URL. On the Shorts chart, "VERITY HARDTEKK (Super Slowed)" by shxnei is missing its URL at No. 46 for the second week running.
- A changed URL behind an unchanged rank: "NO BATIDÃO" lists a previous rank of 44, but its URL differs from last week's No. 44, and the credit has grown from slxughter alone to "ZXKAI & slxughter". A URL-based comparison treats it as one exit and one new entry.
- Duplicate uploads: "NEON" and "Yeshanagula" each have two entries on the videos chart under different URLs. The second "Yeshanagula" upload enters at No. 69 with 5,573,618 views in its first period, while the original sits at No. 6.
- Credits: the "Ravana Tandav" video is credited to Lacuna Coil. The songs and videos charts reverse the order of A2O and A2O LITE. "Kaali Hoodie" credits BOHEMIA in the songs-chart artist field but not in the videos-chart one, although the video title names him. "Flower In A Hurricane" lists a video game as an artist and omits King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.
- Whitespace: trailing spaces persist on "Yeshanagula", "Endhayya Saami", "Mi Chico" and "Tera Mera Rishta", " YAALALO YAALALO" keeps its leading space, KR$NA's name is followed by three spaces, and Germany's No. 2, "Ich weiß was du brauchst", has a leading space.
- Title variants: KristaFoxx's song is "Bedroom Tension" on the songs chart and "Tension In Bedroom" in the video title, and the Brazilian No. 1 includes an emoji, "Flash (Minha Mente) 💠", in its track name.
- Period counts: the "expectations" mismatch described above, and "Pós (Ao Vivo)", which is in its first period on the global songs chart but its second on the videos chart, where it rose from No. 100 to No. 27.
Why it matters for marketers
YouTube's charts have been the company's main public record of music consumption since it stopped supplying data to Billboard in January 2026. Brands, agencies and media buyers use them to pick music for campaigns, find rising acts and judge where an artist's audience sits.
Two weeks of "TRALALA" show how fast a debut can fade. A song that ranked fourth in the world lost half its weekly views in seven days, and what remained came almost entirely from one country. Any campaign built around its first-week rank would have been working from a figure that no longer described the audience a week later.
"NEON" shows the reverse blind spot. A song at No. 3 worldwide has fewer than a quarter of its views visible across 16 national charts, because the market most likely to be driving it is not in the sample. Its two uploads together account for half its chart views, and its credited artists do not appear on the artists chart at all. A buyer looking for A2O LITE's reach on YouTube would find little in these files beyond the global rank.
The Western releases are the opposite case. "expectations", "Housewife" and "Flower In A Hurricane" each have 45% or more of their views visible in the national files, and their US, UK and Australian placings line up with the Official Charts Company's early read. The GTA VI track adds a further point: a song launched as part of a video game's marketing now competes directly for the same chart positions as label releases.
The weekly views behind all of this are counted under rules that changed in August, and long chart tenure values, such as the 57 periods attached to the re-entering "पलंग सागवान के" by Khesari Lal Yadav and Indu Sonali, say nothing about whether the views behind them come from the same upload.
Other movements
The global chart had 17 debuts and five re-entries, against nine and eight a week earlier, and 23 songs left it by URL. Besides those discussed above, the debuts include Ashe's "Stop The Wedding!" at No. 90, which already charted in the UK, Australia and the Philippines, KristaFoxx's "Bedroom Tension" at No. 97 and Ilaiyaraaja's "Kalyana Virundhu" at No. 98. The Cranberries' "Zombie" re-enters at No. 87 in its 17th period. Taylor Swift's "Patient Zero", No. 98 a week ago, has left the chart three weeks after it debuted at No. 9, and Swift slips three places to No. 23 among artists.
The biggest climbs were 16 places each, by "Endhayya Saami" (No. 51 to No. 35, views up about 20%), P!NK's "Just Give Me a Reason" with Nate Ruess (No. 59 to No. 43, up about 18%) and "Terbelah Jadi Dua" by Gloria Jessica Gultom and Ade Govinda (No. 100 to No. 84). The biggest fall in places was GAVIN:D's "The Last Walk", down 31 to No. 96.
The 100th song on the global chart needed 7,329,665 views, up from 6,930,496. The global top 100 drew 1,293,647,217 views in total, up 4.6% on the week, and the videos top 100 drew 793,923,523, up 4.0%. The artists chart barely moved, with its 100 entries totalling 9,365,555,014 views, up 0.1%. Alka Yagnik leads it again with 447,776,246 views, ahead of Udit Narayan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal and Kumar Sanu. Tanishk Bagchi, Vishal Mishra and Aashish Yadav re-enter, while manifest, Stray Kids and Carín León drop out.
On the national charts, Australia had the largest single climb, Zara Larsson's "Blue Moon", up 76 places to No. 18, and the same song rose 65 places to No. 14 in the Netherlands. Germany's "GLASWASSERFLASCHE" had the largest fall, 86 places to No. 94. Germany also had the most debuts, with 23, followed by the UK with 22 and South Africa with 20.

Summary
Who: YouTube, which publishes the weekly chart files; Turkish girl group manifest, whose "TRALALA" fell from No. 4 to No. 29; A2O LITE, the girl group produced by Lee Soo-man's A2O Entertainment, whose "NEON" debuted at No. 3; Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan, Tate McRae, and Justice with Tame Impala and SZA, whose new releases debuted in the top 50; and the marketers who use YouTube's music data.
What: "TRALALA" lost 48.8% of its views in its second week, with Türkiye supplying 86.3% of what remained. "NEON" debuted at No. 3 with 36,047,912 views, only 21.4% of them visible across 16 national charts. "Dai Dai" held No. 1 as its lead over "KALYANI (Remix)" narrowed to 6.5%, and "expectations" took No. 1 in the US, UK and Australia.
When: The chart week ending October 22, 2026, compared with the week ending October 15 and earlier weeks documented by PPC Land.
Where: YouTube worldwide, with national detail for Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Türkiye, the UK and the US. South Korea, the likely source of much of "NEON"'s audience, is not in the set.
Why: A song's global rank does not say how long its audience will stay or where it lives. This week's files show a breakout losing half its views in a week, a top-three debut whose audience the sample mostly cannot see, and a video game track competing with label releases, all of which affect how marketers read the chart.
