JCDecaux renews contract with the leading company of shopping malls in Portugal

JCDecaux this year announced the renewal of its contract with Sonae Sierra, the leading company in the management and operation of shopping malls in Portugal, for ten years.

JCDecaux now offers 100% digital coverage inside 17 Sonae Sierra’s shopping malls, across 231 screens. JCDecaux says this network will also include the installation of 2m² panels and 8m² billboards in outdoor areas such as car parks.

Sonae Sierra’s shopping malls reached more than 160 million visitors in 2019 and cover the most important Portuguese cities, in the metropolitan region of Lisbon (such as Colombo, Vasco de Gama, Cascais Shopping), the metropolitan region of Porto (Norte Shopping) and in Vila Nova de Gaia, Madeira, Matosinhos, Guimarães, Coimbra, Maia, Leiria, Viana do Castelo, Ponta Delgada (Açores), Portimão, Covilhã and Albufeira.

According to JCDecaux, digital screens in this new contract have been rolled out over the past few months and will be integrated into JCDecaux Portugal’s future programmatic offer in 2023.

In Portugal, JCDecaux also manages advertising concessions for the airports operated by ANA/VINCI (including Lisbon, Porto and Faro airports).
