Castro joins the firm from the global retargeting specialist, RTB House, where he was Sales Manager. Before that, he was in a similar role as commerce marketing leader, Criteo.
In his new role, Castro will be in charge of sales operations, strategy and of strengthening Smart’s penetration in the Brazilian market.
Castro started in December and is based in São Paulo. He reports directly to Sylvain Piquet, Chief Revenue Officer, Smart, based in London, UK.
Commenting on the appointment, Piquet said: “We are pleased to welcome Weverton to the team.
