Google this week announced the introduction of Anchor Ads in AMP pages. Anchor ads will start appearing in AMP pages from April 11, 2022.
According to Google, Auto ads for AMP were updated to support anchor ads.
Publishers that do not want to show Anchor Ads can turn this option off using the controls on “Auto ads for AMP” page. Publishers can check how AMP anchor ads are performing in the “Content platform” report.
Anchor Ads stick to the edge of the user’s screen and are dismissible. Google launched Anchor Ads on desktop screens last year.
