Prime Day 2020 to happen on October 13-14

Prime Day 2020 will happen on October 13-14. Prime Day is an online event where Prime members get discounts on Amazon. According to Amazon, Prime Day will kick off at midnight PT.

Amazon Prime Day will take place in U.S., UK, UAE, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, and for the first time this year, also in Turkey and Brazil.

Prime members purchased more than 175 million items worldwide in 2019. Amazon said 2019 was another record-breaking year for independent third-party sellers in Prime Day. Globally, the third-party sellers “far exceeded $2 billion in sales this Prime Day, making it the biggest Amazon shopping event ever for third-party sellers when comparing two-day periods.”

Amazon is recommending advertisers to combine Sponsored Display with Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands for the Prime Day.

Sponsored Display is a self-service display marketing. Sponsored Products are cost-per-click (CPC) ads that promote individual product listings on Amazon. Sponsored Brands are cost-per-click (CPC) ads that feature your brand logo, a custom headline, and multiple products.

In the US, Amazon is recommending advertisers to reengage audiences throughout Q4 with views targeting. Amazon says advertisers can use views remarketing to get in front of early holiday shoppers throughout October and November, and once again after Black Friday and Cyber Monday to reach shoppers as they purchase last-minute gifts for the holidays.
