The Terminal List was the most-watched Prime Original series worldwide in the week of October 19 to 25, 2026, according to Amazon, which updated its weekly Prime Video rankings on October 28. Season two of the Chris Pratt series only became available on Wednesday, October 21, so it reached first place on five days of viewing in a seven-day window, pushing Carrie, the leader a week earlier, down to second. Love of Your Life stayed first among Prime Original films. As in every edition since June, Amazon ranked titles by the number of accounts that watched them and published no viewer totals.

In Short

Amazon publishes a weekly list of the Prime Video films and shows it brands as its own originals that the most accounts around the world watched, and for October 19 to 25 an action series called The Terminal List came first among shows, five days after its new season came out. Most Prime Video viewers see ads, so the list gives advertisers a rough idea of which programmes drew the biggest audiences that week. It only gives positions, though, so it shows which titles were popular without saying how popular, and it leaves out live sports and anything not branded as an Amazon original.

A new series at the top

The Terminal List did not appear at all in the series ranking for October 12 to 18. That is worth noting because Amazon counts accounts that watched any available season, and season one has been on Prime Video since July 1, 2022. A back catalogue of one season was not enough to place the series in the top ten. A new one was enough to put it first.

Amazon released all eight episodes of season two at once, in more than 240 countries and territories on October 21. Amazon's summary of the week is brief: "The Terminal List is last week's most-watched Prime Original series." How much of that count came from season two, and how much from accounts starting or returning to season one, the page does not say. Nor does it give a figure that could be set against the claim Amazon attached to the franchise in August, that it had "accumulated 100M+ viewers worldwide," a number that came without a period or a method.

Carrie, Mike Flanagan's adaptation of the Stephen King novel, which premiered on October 7, fell from first to second in its third week. Reacher held third. Neagley, the spinoff built around Frances Neagley, the character Maria Sten plays in Reacher, dropped from second to fourth. A week earlier the spinoff had ranked above its parent series; that order has now reversed. Off Campus slipped one place to fifth, five months after it led the first chart Amazon published, for May 25 to 31.

The full series ranking, according to Amazon, with the previous week's position in brackets based on PPC Land's comparison of the two editions:

  1. The Terminal List (not ranked)
  2. Carrie (1)
  3. Reacher (3)
  4. Neagley (2)
  5. Off Campus (4)
  6. Helluva Boss (6)
  7. Friends Sex and Games (International Original - Germany) (not ranked)
  8. LOL: Last One Laughing UK (International Original - U.K.) (not ranked)
  9. Sterling Point (5)
  10. A Love Other Than Yours (International Original - South Korea) (7)

Three titles dropped out: Red Queen, Dupahiya and Kill Jackie. Friends Sex and Games, a German production, moved into the combined list from fifth place on the non-English series list. LOL: Last One Laughing UK is labelled an International Original but, being in English, appears only on the combined ranking. The LOL format turns up twice this week, because Italy's LOL: Chi ride è fuori - Halloween Special entered the non-English series list at seventh. It is a recurring presence: LOL: Last One Laughing Germany led the non-English series list in the first edition in June.

Films: Love of Your Life holds, Masterplan climbs

Amazon's film ranking changed far less. Love of Your Life stayed first. Masterplan, the France and Italy International Original that Amazon listed for release on Friday, October 16, rose from third to second in its first full week of availability, trading places with The Love Hypothesis. Drawn Together held fourth.

Project Hail Mary, The Last Sunrise and Masters of the Universe each moved up a place, to fifth, sixth and seventh. That was less a surge than a gap opening above them, as You+Me - Against the World fell from fifth to eighth.

The one new entry was Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, at ninth, an animated film that first arrived on Prime Video in January 2022. Its return to the list came in the week before Halloween, and the page itself closes by directing readers to Amazon's selection of "Halloween movies and shows." The Runner dropped out. A Working Man held tenth, and it has proved durable: it was fifth among films for May 25 to 31.

The full film ranking, according to Amazon, with the previous week's position in brackets:

  1. Love of Your Life (1)
  2. Masterplan (International Original - France, Italy) (3)
  3. The Love Hypothesis (2)
  4. Drawn Together / Enfrentados: Marfil (International Original - Spain) (4)
  5. Project Hail Mary (6)
  6. The Last Sunrise (7)
  7. Masters of the Universe (8)
  8. You+Me - Against the World / Toi+Moi - Seuls contre tous (International Original - France) (5)
  9. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (not ranked)
  10. A Working Man (10)

Masterplan, as in the previous edition, is absent from the non-English film list despite its French and Italian origin. Amazon does not explain the classification.

Non-English lists: the same ten films, a reshuffled series chart

The non-English film list contains exactly the same ten titles as a week earlier, and the top five did not move. "Drawn Together is last week's most-watched non-English Prime Original film," according to Amazon. Spain again supplies six of the ten:

  1. Drawn Together / Enfrentados: Marfil (Spain) (1)
  2. You+Me - Against the World / Toi+Moi - Seuls contre tous (France) (2)
  3. Culpa Mia (Spain) (3)
  4. Culpa Nuestra (Spain) (4)
  5. Culpa Tuya (Spain) (5)
  6. Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End / Apocalipsis Z: El principio del fin (Spain) (7)
  7. Agent Zeta (Spain) (6)
  8. The Tank / Der Tiger (Germany) (10)
  9. Vengeance / Venganza (Mexico) (8)
  10. No Place to Be Single / Non è un Paese per Single (Italy) (9)

Several of these titles have been fixtures for months. In the first edition, the three Culpa films ranked third, fourth and sixth among non-English films, and No Place to Be Single was second. Five months on, all four remain. Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End rose a place, to sixth, in the same month that Amazon's October line-up, linked from the rankings page, names a sequel, "Apocalypse Z 2," among its new originals. The page gives no release date for the sequel.

The non-English series list moved far more. "Friends Sex and Games tops non-English Prime Original series," according to Amazon, after placing fifth a week earlier. Three titles are new: Love in Disguise from South Korea at third, Love Transit 35+ from Japan at fourth, and the Italian LOL Halloween special at seventh. Every other returning title lost ground.

  1. Friends Sex and Games (Germany) (5)
  2. A Love Other Than Yours (South Korea) (1)
  3. Love in Disguise (South Korea) (not ranked)
  4. Love Transit 35+ (Japan) (not ranked)
  5. Red Queen / Reina Roja (Spain) (2)
  6. Dupahiya (India) (3)
  7. LOL: Chi ride è fuori - Halloween Special (Italy) (not ranked)
  8. The Trial / El Juicio (Mexico) (4)
  9. Rise and Fall (India) (6)
  10. Maxton Hall - The World Between Us / Maxton Hall - Die Welt Zwischen Uns (Germany) (8)

The three titles that dropped out were I Would Rather Die from Mexico, Good Luck Guys Danmark from Denmark and Cathedrals from Chile. Latin American representation thinned as a result. Mexico's The Trial is the only Latin American series left, and Vengeance the only Latin American film. Cathedrals had been read, a week earlier, against Prime Video's pledge of $2 billion for Latin American content by 2030, announced on August 20. One week out of the list says little about that commitment; it does show how quickly a regional title can fall away in a worldwide count.

East Asia moved the other way. South Korea now places two titles in the top three, and Japan one at fourth. In the first edition, Japan's Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun was second on this list.

What the rankings leave out

The method is unchanged. "These lists are calculated based on total worldwide Prime Video accounts that viewed a title from Monday-Sunday and differ from what customers see in the Prime Video app, which reflects a shorter period of time and country-specific viewing data," according to Amazon. An account counts once, whatever it watched and for how long, and only Prime Originals are ranked. The page states that it "is updated weekly with the newest data for Prime Video viewership" and that archived lists sit on the Amazon MGM Studios press site. It does not compare weeks itself; the movements above are PPC Land's.

Live sport is outside the frame. In the same window, Prime Video streamed Thursday Night Football on October 22 and an NBA doubleheader on October 23, neither of which can appear on lists limited to original films and series. Those are the events for which Amazon does release audience averages. Thursday Night Football averaged more than 15 million viewers a week in its 2025 season, and the NBA's first season on Prime Video peaked at 6.5 million US viewers for one game.

Third-party data, where it exists, uses a different currency. The monthly Nielsen Gauge put Prime Video at 4.5% of US television usage in May 2026, its best share to that point, and credited the final episodes of The Boys with 5 billion viewing minutes. That is US-only and minute-based. Amazon's page is worldwide and rank-based. Neither can be converted into the other.

The page carries other details. Prime costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year in the United States, and the membership is available in more than 240 countries and territories, according to Amazon. Prime Video also sells subscriptions to Apple TV, HBO Max, Crunchyroll, MGM+, Peacock Premium Plus and FOX One, and carries more than 900 free ad-supported streaming television, or FAST, channels. A linked story quotes Amazon chief executive Andy Jassy, speaking at a recent shareholder question-and-answer session, on Prime Video: "That business is growing, it's profitable, and it's still early." No figure for that profit appears on the page.

Why the week matters to advertisers

Prime Video has shown ads by default since January 2024. With its fourth-quarter 2025 results on February 6, Amazon disclosed an average ad-supported audience of 315 million viewers globally, up from the 200 million it disclosed in April 2024, which places the service among the largest AVOD offerings. Its advertising business brought in $19.8 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up 26%, with live sports inventory sold out, according to Amazon's July 30 results.

The Terminal List is a clean case study in how that inventory is sold. Amazon set the October 21 date at its upfront presentation in New York on May 11, where it pitched the coming year's programming to buyers. Five months later the series delivered the top rank among Prime Original series in its release week. What a buyer cannot learn from Amazon's public page is how many accounts that rank represents, how many of them were on the ad-supported tier, or in which countries they watched. Amazon has said its in-app rankings rely on country-specific data, so a regional breakdown exists; it is not published here.

For agencies preparing for next year's negotiations, the weekly lists remain a directional signal rather than a planning input. Is a title at first place ahead by a handful of accounts or by millions? The page does not say. Amazon reports its third-quarter 2026 results on October 29, the day after this update, with a conference call at 2:00 p.m. Pacific time, according to Amazon. The quarter ended on September 30, before the release of The Terminal List's second season.

What comes next

The next edition, covering October 26 to November 1, will include Halloween weekend and two titles promoted on the same page. Verity, the Colleen Hoover adaptation, comes to Prime Video on October 27, according to Amazon, and Drive - The Pretenders, a German-language romance adapted from a Wattpad novel, arrives worldwide on October 28. Further out, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey goes on sale on Prime Video for $19.99 from November 17 in the US, and the reality competition Fallout Shelter: The Experiment premieres on January 13, 2027. Whether any of them reaches the lists will, again, be visible only as a position.

Timeline

Summary

What: The weekly update of Prime Video's four Top 10 lists of Prime Original titles. The Terminal List went from outside the series list to first after season two's October 21 release; Carrie fell to second and Neagley to fourth; the non-English film list kept the same ten titles; three new titles from South Korea, Japan and Italy entered the non-English series list. No viewer counts or hours were published.

When: The lists cover Monday, October 19, to Sunday, October 25, 2026. Amazon updated the page on October 28, 2026, the day before its third-quarter results.

Where: Worldwide Prime Video viewing, with International Originals from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the UK, Mexico, India, South Korea and Japan.

Why: Prime Video's ad-supported audience, put at 315 million globally, makes its most-watched originals relevant to advertisers, yet the rank-only format offers buyers no way to size the audience behind a first-place title, in contrast with the viewer averages Amazon publishes for its live sports.
