Amazon launches a Shopper Panel
Amazon Shopper Panel to be used on ad measurement, retail insights, and intelligence. Shopper Panel is only available in the US.
Amazon this month launched a Shopper Panel, an app in iOS and Android, that rewards users that share receipts from purchases made outside of Amazon.com and that complete short surveys.
Ten or more eligible receipts per month equal a USD 10 monthly reward, and all receipts count equally. Each survey comes with its own reward amount, which is displayed in the app.
Amazon says it will aggregate and anonymize information that panelists choose to share. The information is then used to improve advertising measurement and relevance, and help brands with product research – as well as to improve the product and content selection on Amazon.
With the Shopper Panel, Amazon can enter in direct competition with third-party consumer panels and business intelligence firms such as Nielsen and NPD.
