Facebook this week, in the quarter results, said it is expecting advertising revenue growth to be driven primarily by advertising price increases during the rest of 2021.
Facebook released the results of the second quarter of 2021, where advertising revenue grew 56% year-over-year, to $28,5 billions.
According to Facebook, the advertising revenue growth was driven by a 47% year-over-year increase in the average price per ad and a 6% increase in the number of ads delivered.
Facebook doesn’t expect similar revenue growth rates in the third and fourth quarters of 2021. Facebook says it expects increased ad targeting headwinds in 2021 from regulatory and platform changes, particularly the recent iOS updates.
