Google advertising revenue up 68%, and YouTube ad revenue up 84% in Q2 2021

Google this week reported the Q2 2021 quarter results. According to Google, search and other advertising had a revenue of $35.8 billion, 68% up year over year.

YouTube registered ad revenues of $7.0 billion, 84% up year over year. Google  network (Ad Manager and AdMob) advertising revenues were $7.6 billion, 60% up year over year.

In Q2 2021, Google says publisher partners earned more than they ever have from Google's network. Google states that also paid more to YouTube creators and partners than in any quarter in YouTube history.

“In the second quarter, retail again was by far the largest contributor to the year-on-year growth of our Ads business. Travel, financial services, and media and entertainment were also strong contributors.” said Philipp Schindler, SVP and CBO, at Google.
