Google yesterday reminded publishers how to label links with a commercial nature, like guest or sponsored posts, and affiliate links.

According to Google, affiliate links should have the attribute rel="sponsored".

Google says that when sites fail to qualify affiliate links with the rel="sponsored", Google may issue manual actions to prevent these links from affecting Search, and Google systems might also take algorithmic actions.
