Google this month announced it started showing images on desktop search results. Previously, image extensions only showed on mobile devices.

According to Google, image extensions complement search ads with visuals of products and services. Google says image extensions make it easy for potential customers to learn about a business and take action.

According to Google, image extensions complement search ads with visuals of products and services. Google says image extensions make it easy for potential customers to learn about a business and take action.

Google recommends advertisers to apply at least three images to the image extensions, making sure the images are relevant to the keywords and ads. Besides, Google recommends putting the most important content in the center of the images when cropping them.

Advertisers can view the desktop device performance by segmenting the performance data by “Device”.
