Google this week announced it has removed fixed-sized link units from the AdSense interface. The responsive Link Ads are serving display ad units. Fixed-size Link Ads stopped serving.
Google told last year that it will retire AdSense Link Ads in 2021, and this week announced it has reached the last stage of that process: removing fixed-sized link units from the AdSense interface.
According to Google, fixed-size link units are no longer serving ads, and publishers do not need to take any action. All previously used fixed-sized link units will be removed from the list of ad units.
Last year, Google said the Link Ads sunset is part of an effort to modernize the ad formats.
