Google this month announced it will remove Gmail Ads from DV360, the only Google platform where advertisers could still target only Gmail Ads. Google launched Gmail Ads in DV360 in 2019.

According to Google, the ability to create new line items with Gmail Ads will be removed on April 3, 2023. Current Gmail line items will stop serving and will be archived on May 1, 2023.

Advertisers can only access Gmail inventory via Discovery campaigns in Google Ads.

After the Discovery Ads launch in Google Ads, back in 2019, Google disabled the option to target Gmail Ads only in Google Ads. This option was only available in DV360 until now. From April this year, advertisers will not be able to create ads on Gmail only.
