IAB Australia sets dates for audio advertising summits in February and March 2025

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia has scheduled two major industry events focused on digital audio advertising for early 2025. According to the event documentation, the Audio Summit will take place in Sydney on February 26 and in Melbourne on March 5, continuing the event's ninth-year tradition.

The summits, which will bring together key players from across Australia's audio advertising landscape, aim to provide comprehensive market insights into streaming and podcast advertising trends. According to the event agenda, the Sydney session will be held at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre in Surry Hills, while the Melbourne event will take place at PwC's offices.

Industry professionals will gather to discuss critical developments in digital audio advertising revenue, audience engagement patterns, and measurement methodologies. According to the IAB Australia documentation, the events will feature presentations from notable speakers including Brian Barletta, founder of Sounds Profitable, and Gai Le Roy, CEO of IAB Australia.

A significant portion of both summits will focus on presenting the latest data from the Internet Advertising Revenue Report, specifically addressing digital audio streaming and podcast advertising revenue trends. The events will also mark the release of the ninth wave of the industry's State of the Nation report, providing insights into agency and marketer intentions regarding audio investment.

This session will feature Helen Kerr, Head of Institutional Marketing at ANZ, alongside Andy Maxwell from Earmax Media and Ralph van Dijk from Eardrum, who will discuss the effectiveness of their audio marketing initiatives.

According to the event documentation, ticket pricing has been structured to encourage industry participation, with IAB Australia members receiving two complimentary tickets. Additional member tickets are priced at $125 plus GST, while general admission is set at $225 plus GST.
