Reddit yesterday announced the launch of two new ads Conversation Placement. The two new ads are Carousel Ads and Product Ads.

Conversation Placement ads in Reddit are placed within the context of relevant conversations, so they are likely to be seen by users who are interested in the product or service being advertised.

Carousel Ads and Product Ads are now available in Conversation Placement to all Reddit advertisers globally.

“Around two in three redditors say they would purchase a product if they saw an ad for it on Reddit, which represents a huge, untapped market for brands to reach relevant audiences who are leaned in and ready to take action,” said Jim Squires, Reddit’s EVP of Business Marketing and Growth.

Advertisers can now show up to six images or GIFs within their ad unit, all with their own clickable link to their respective landing pages. Reddit's early testing of this redesigned format saw a 44% increase in click-through rate (CTR) compared to their previous Carousel Ad format.

Product Ads

Advertisers can now get their products and services in front of Reddit users when they are already in research mode and actively discussing related topics. Product Ads include product descriptions, pricing information, and a "Shop Now" CTA.
