Amazon Music unveils Maestro: a new AI-Powered playlist sidekick

Amazon Music this week unveiled a new beta feature called Maestro, an AI-powered tool designed to help users create playlists based on unique prompts. This experimental feature aims to translate your moods, activities, or even emoji combinations into customized musical experiences.

How Maestro Works

  1. Provide a Prompt: Give Maestro a starting point. This could be a feeling, an activity, a genre, a time period, or a string of emojis.
  2. Let the AI Work: Maestro analyzes your prompt and generates a playlist tailored to your request.
  3. Listen and Explore: Discover if the selections match your vision. You can always refine your prompts for different results.

Maestro is currently in beta, meaning it's still under development. The technology might not always interpret prompts perfectly.

Amazon Music has implemented filters to help maintain a positive and appropriate user experience.

The feature is currently available to a limited number of Amazon Music subscribers in the U.S. on iOS and Android devices, with wider availability planned for the future.

Amazon Music encourages users to try out this new feature and see what kind of playlists the AI can conjure.
