Bloomberg this week launched Bloomberg TV+, a new streaming video that combines data and the TV programming. Bloomberg TV+ is available in high definition (HD) and 4K ultra high definition (UHD). Verizon is the launch partner for Bloomberg TV+. A preview can be seen here.
According to Bloomberg, subscribers can experience low-latency streaming news delivery on desktop, tablet and mobile web, with plans to expand into more ultra-high definition availability across IP streaming services in the coming months.

“Despite an increase in streaming video, our research clearly shows a ‘streaming news gap,’” said M. Scott Havens, global head of digital and media distribution at Bloomberg Media. “It is an opportune time for trusted brands such as Bloomberg to fill that void, and this is a first step in evolving and enhancing our existing products. Bloomberg TV already provides best in class business and financial coverage. With Bloomberg TV+ we want to maintain that quality while finding new ways to present a greater depth of easily consumable information to an online audience that demands it.”
Later this year, Bloomberg says Bloomberg TV+ will expand to include new broader interest business programming in the prime-time evening hours.
