DuckDuckGo hit 2 billion search queries last month. August 2020 was the best month so far for DuckDuckGo, a month when an analyst said Apple should acquire DuckDuckGo.
Rumors also included the version where Apple would launch their own search engine. DuckDuckGo is working with Apple Maps since July 2019.
In 2018, DuckDuckGo got 10 million USD in new funding to expand globally. At the time, DuckDuckGo said it was profitable since 2014, mainly funded by keyword-based search ads.
